This protocol outlines a randomized clinical study designed to compare postoperative pain levels following root canal treatment, based on different working length determination methods. A total of 125 patients diagnosed with asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis in single-rooted teeth were randomly assigned to five groups: four using electronic apex locators and one using periapical radiography. All treatments were performed in a single visit by the same clinician using a standardized protocol. Pain intensity was measured at multiple time points using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), and analgesic intake was recorded. The study was approved by the ethics committee of Bezmialem Vakif University.
