Assoc. Prof. AYŞE GÜNEŞ BAYIR

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe GÜNEŞ BAYIR works in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Bezmialem Vakif University, Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria. Her doctorate was undertaken at the same university. Her research interests lie in the areas of cancer and nutrition with a specialization in natural compounds, the nutritional assessment of different human groups including healthy and patients, and probiotic foods as well as food safety. She has served as a referee for a number of International and National journals. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in Medical Biology & Genetics including molecular biology, Cancer & Nutrition, Principles of Nutrition, General Microbiology, Food Chemistry & Food Microbiology, Food Safety, and Hygiene & Sanitation. She has also published more than 100 scientific articles in the peer-reviewed national and international journals as an author, co-author, or editor for books and book chapters. Research Interests: Food Sciences, Nutritional Sciences.
