Abstract

Eosinophilic peritonitis (EP) is defined as an allergic reaction when there are more than 100 eosinophils present per mililiter of peritonial effluent and also eosinophils constitute more than 10%of total white blood cell count. The catheter, dialysis solutions, plasticizers, antibiotics and heparin have all been implicated as possible etiologic factors in EP.
